“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”
At Whitegold Goldens we specialize in breeding top quality AKC English Cream Golden Retrievers with exclusive champion pedigrees. Our Golden Retrievers come from the top European kennels in the world. They are imported from the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Serbia, Hungry and Russia. Our lines boast Erinderry, Dewmist, Ashbury, Raynox, Morning Valley, Majik, of Golden Duck, Glen Sheallag, Clear Passion, Dream Max and Moondust. Our English Cream Golden Retrievers must meet our very high standards of beauty, confirmation, temperament and must be OFA, Penn Hip, CERF certified.
Our English Cream Golden Retriever puppies make excellent family companions, they are great with children due to their loving, calm, mellow temperaments. Golden Retrievers are very intelligent and for that reason make good therapy and rescue dogs.
English Cream Golden Retrievers are known for their big blocky heads, dark pigment on their tummies and paws, the most gentle and sweet temperaments, and of course their light cream coats.
It is always fun to see what new slang breeders and others have come up to describe their wonderful companions. We have heard English Cream or Creme, White Golden Retrievers, European Golden Retrievers, British Golden Retrievers, and even Platium Blonde Golden Retrievers. Inside, they are all the same breed.
We love Golden Retrievers, both adults and puppies alike. Our dogs are well socialized and treated with tender loving care. We like to include them in our every day life. We like to have our Golden Retrievers close to us, to ride in the car with us and to go on family vacations. We love taking them for boat rides and especially watching them swim, run and enjoy nature. If you have been around Golden Retrievers, you already know that there is really no other love like that of these wonderful dogs. There is no other puppy as cute as a baby Golden Retriever.
Whether you have recently lost a Golden Retriever and are looking to fill some of the void left in your heart, or this will be your very first time knowing the love of a Golden Retriever, we promise to help you find the perfect English Cream Golden Retriever puppy to share your journey.
About the Health of Our English Cream Golden Retriever Puppies
We love all Golden Retrievers regardless of whether they are American, imported, gold or cream. We especially love the English Golden Retrievers because of their very calm temperaments and their great health, especially as it relates to less cancer risk in the European lines. Sadly their American cousins have been experiencing a much earlier onset of cancer due to over breeding of some known lines that have a lot of cancer. This is the most popular reason I am contacted by families who have lost a Golden Retriever. They want to know how to pick a puppy with a less chance of developing cancer and what they can do to increase their chances of having more quality years with their new Golden Retriever puppy.
As a breeder of White English Golden Retrievers we are becoming even more aware of the importance of health testing for each and every breeding dog. According to OFA, Orthopedic Foundation for Animals about 20% of Golden Retrievers will develop hip dysplasia at some point in their lives. 10% will be affected by elbow dysplasia, and 10% will have a heart murmur or heart condition that will shorten their lives.
At White Gold English Cream Golden Retrievers, we have tried to eliminate some of that risk by choosing to breed dogs with parents and grandparents from reputable European Golden Retriever breeders with generations of health certifications and clearances.
This does not mean that a dog from us can not develop a debilitating disease – only that it greatly reduces the chances of it. You can rest assured that we have done everything possible to reduce the chances of health problems in our English Cream Golden Retriever puppies. We have now started to do DNA testing to help prevent the spread of PRA and Icythosis, which are two diseases that Optigen recently began testing for.
Some of the largest and popular Golden Retriever breeders offering European lines here in the U.S. are not testing for hip or elbow dysplasia, saying the parent dogs are from excellent lines. These breeders have either sadly not educated themselves, or some of their dogs have already failed their health clearances. Why would any breeder not want to fulfill one of the very most important parts of being a responsible dog breeder?
Even if a dog has no visible signs of Hip or Elbow Dysplasia, it can pass this debilitating disease on to about 20% it’s puppies. If both parent dogs are carriers, the resulting puppies will be about 40% affected. This is why testing and clearances for hips and elbows in Golden Retriever dogs are so very important, and something that we have done on all of our dogs. More information on this subject can be found at the official sites of OFA and Penn Hip.
My Golden Retrievers have given me so much love and joy, that I am honored to be able to share this joy with other Golden Retriever enthusiasts. So regardless of where you decide to purchase your puppy, please insist that both parents are cleared for these diseases for the betterment of this wonderful loving breed.
